These tetrahedal Zunyite Twin crystals display either contact or penetration twinning.

Contact twinning occurs when two of the same crystals are intergrown, sharing one plane, often like mirror images of each other.
There are rare examples where the twinning is pseudo-octahedral - with the crystals resembling two triangular pyramids connected at their bases.
Penetration twinning is when the two crystals appear to be passing through each other (interpenetrating) and their shared plane is irregular and less well-defined.

Due to the nature of our products the colour, shape, size and weight may differ slightly from the product shown.

At times due to this difference you may receive an average size, weight or quantity.
